Most advertisers on the LinkedIn platform are interested in targeted traffic and increasingly specific analytics, both of which can be provided with the new custom CTA buttons now available for LinkedIn Pages. In addition to the standard “follow” button, advertisers can choose one additional CTA button, including “contact us,” “learn more,” “register,” “sign up” or “visit website.” Of the new offering, LinkedIn said, “Five new options make it easy to turn your page visitors into potential leads, and new analytics dashboards will provide deeper insight into how many visitors are clicking through.”

The new buttons allow businesses to drive specific traffic, targeting their unique marketing goals more efficiently. Plus, LinkedIn now offers traffic analytics from the custom CTA buttons via new analytics dashboards.

What Else Is New On LinkedIn?

LinkedIn has committed to quarterly updates and upgrades to LinkedIn Pages. In addition to the new CTA buttons, LinkedIn is introducing Community Hashtags. These hashtags offer page admins the opportunity to join the conversation and “jump in and participate from the perspective of your organization.”

So, if an admin spots a typo or needs to change a custom CTA button, they can easily hop on mobile to make changes. (There are 63 million unique mobile users per month on LinkedIn, which could indicate the reason for LinkedIn increasing mobile accessibility for all sides of the social platform.)

Why Are These Changes Newsworthy?

LinkedIn has grown its base year-over-year (YOY), reaching more than 500 million users globally in 2017. The have 260 million user log-ins per month and nearly 50% of active users are on LinkedIn daily. And marketers are all over LinkedIn, with 91% citing LinkedIn as their go to for quality content and 92% of business-to-business marketers considering it an integral party of their digital marketing strategy. The latest changes offer more tools and increased optimizations to continue making LinkedIn an effective tool for businesses and marketing professionals.
